Make and eat steaming fluffy kamaboko! Savor kamaboko, a famous Iwaki delicacy.

See how to hand-make Iwaki’s famous delicacy, the kamaboko (white fish, such as cod, is pureed and combined with salt, egg white, and other ingredients, and shaped and cooked in a semi-cylinder loaf).

You can make art kamaboko with drawing and text decorations of your choice, or bamboo chikuwa (ground fish meat that has been wrapped around a bamboo skewer, etc. and then grilled or steamed) that can be eaten right away. Both freshly made, steaming kamaboko and chikuwa are delicious.

This is a fun activity that can be enjoyed by both your family and friends!
