Hachimantai Snow Corridor and Snowshoeing Through Remaining Snow(Hachimantai Mountain Hotel Nature Guide Station)
Wear snowshoes and trek through 6-meter-deep snow that remains at the summit of Mt. Hachimantai, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.
From late April to early May, a snow corridor appears along the Aspite and Jukai lines.
This is the longest snow corridor in Japan (entire length: 27 km). Let yourself be captivated by the world of snow during the harsh winter season.
❶ Wear snowshoes and walk through the remaining snow that is about 6-meters deep.
❷ Trekkers will be accompanied by a climbing guide from the Japan Mountain Guides Association.
❸ During the season (mid-April to mid-May), reservations are accepted until 4 p.m. of the previous day.
