Public Exhibition of Mogami Sanju-san Kannon

One of the spiritual cultures that Yamagata Prefecture is proud of. Take the opportunity to make a pilgrimage being offered for the the first time in 14 years!

three  Sanju-san Kannon (33-Kannons), along with statues of Mogami, Okiwata, and Shonai, which are collectively called the Dewa 100 Kannons and which have encouraged pilgrimages to this region since long ago. The Mogami Sanju-san Kannon, with a history of 580 years, will be opened for the first time in 14 years. This is the starting point of a journey filled with healing, awareness, inspiration, and peace of mind, whether you are traveling alone to focus on yourself or connecting with loved ones.




[Public exhibition of the Mogami Sanju-san Kannon - When praying, you, yourself, is the Kannon] 

■ Public exhibition period: Sunday, May 1, 2022 to Monday, October 31, 2022 

■ Hours: (In general) 7:00-17:00 *Hours may differ for each temple

■ Commemorative opening event

(1) In commemoration of the opening of the temple, a special stamp (fourth stamp) original to the 34 temples will be given

(2) In commemoration of the opening of the temple, a commemorative sange (paper petals) will be given 

(3) In commemoration of the opening of the temple, a commemorative photo will be taken
