This resort boasts the largest amount of snow in Japan! The ski resort is located in a heavy snowfall area where more than five metres of snow can accumulate in a given year. The quality of the snow is excellent, and some call it the holy land of powder snow.
There are 14 courses from beginner to advanced routes. Another attraction of the resort is its vast tree run area. It is exhilarating to glide through the trees on the soft, uncompacted snow! Confident skiers will have a blast.
Another pleasant surprise is the hot spring and accommodation facilities at the resort. Usagi Mori no Yu at Geto Kogen Resort is a natural hot spring pumped from 1,700 metres underground that helps beautify skin. You can enjoy the superb view with mountains on all sides from the open-air bath. The resort has three types of accommodations connected to the ski area: skiers beds, dormitory rooms, and private rooms. For those who prefer a Japanese-style room, there are hot-spring inns that will offer a pick-up and drop-off service to and from the resort.
