Dake Onsen

An acidic spring that is rare for Japan

Dake Onsen is a hot spring village on an invigorating plateau at the foot of Mt. Adatara. The hot water of Dake Onsen is a rare acidic spring among the natural gushing springs in Japan. The hot water is drawn a distance of 8 kilometers from its source. It takes approximately 40 minutes to flow to the hot spring village. The hot water is tossed about during this time to make it a hot spring with a great reputation for being kind on the skin.

Why don't you make Dake Onsen your base to climb Mt. Adatara, play golf and go skiing? These activities are all a distance of approximately 10 minutes by car from the hot spring village.

There is also a hot spring tour ticket. You can enjoy up to three baths in the ryokan (Japanese inns) participating in the Dake Onsen tour in addition to the ryokan where you are staying with one ticket. The tickets are valid for six months from their day of issue. Therefore, you can continue to use them even if you cannot visit all the baths on that day.
