This facility can be described as a visitor centre on the Tanesashi Coast. There is an exhibit that introduces the ecosystem of creatures and plants in the area, and the centre also provides seasonal information, such as interactive programmes involving nature and people, and the Michinoku Coast Trail.
There are various seasonal hands-on programmes, such as fruit picking and outdoor cooking. The lessons learned from locals and nature experts are a rare experience that can only be found here. Some short programmes that are 30 minutes to one hour long require no reservations.
Next door is the Tanesashi Coast Free Rest Area, which has the Umi Cafe Tanesashi, and a shop overlooking the natural grass lawn that sells original drinks, snacks and sweets related to the Tanesashi Coast. Why don't you stop by during a walk or a trip?
