April 20 – May 2: This plan enables you to enjoy both the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park, said to be Japan’s finest, and the dynamic Hakkoda Snow Corridor (vertical walls of cleared snow formed to prevent snow from crumbling). Seeing snow and cherry blossoms at the same time is a true Aomori luxury.
After experiencing the breathtakingly high snow corridor along Route 103 (Hakkoda-Towada Gold Line), travel to Hirosaki Park for a view of approximately 2,600 cherry blossom trees. The cherry blossoms near the western moat form a tunnel over your head. The view of the moat stained pink with fallen petals is another must-see.
