Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line(Yamagata Railway Co., Ltd.)

This local line runs about 30.5 km total in southern Yamagata Prefecture. You will see the vast rice fields and distant mountains and in every direction from the windows of the train. Furthermore, "Flower Nagai Line" is named after the famous spots scattered along the railway with a variety of beautiful flowers, such as irises, dahlias, lilies, roses, safflowers, classical cherry blossom trees more than 1,000-year-old, and more. In particular, the places between Nagai Station and Arato Station have few private houses along the track making a picturesque rural scenery woven by the rice fields and the mountains. This is quite popular because you can thoroughly enjoy an original Japanese landscape, including vast snow sceneries in winter and beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.
