Ruins of the Great East Japan Earthquake Kesennuma City Memorial Museum is a facility that was built to pass on the memories and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami, and to serve as a “visible reminder” to contribute to the city of Kesennuma’s objective of a city with zero tsunami deaths. Guides are available to show you around the museum upon request. By listening to the guides' stories about the time of the earthquake, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Great East Japan Earthquake. (reservations and fee required)
