The Hiyoshi Shrine Naka-no-saru Yoi-festival "Yomemi festival"

The Yomemi Matsuri is an event held on the eve of the Saru Festival at Hiyoshi Shrine, which falls on the day before the first day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar. Brides in their bridal gowns process in procession to Hiyoshi Shrine to pray and give thanks for a good marriage. The gorgeous procession of first-time brides who have been married within the past year, moving slowly toward the shrine, is a vivid sight that attracts onlookers.Although originally intended for women married within the past year, recently single women who wish for a happy marriage are also participating in the event. A fair is also held on the shrine grounds from noon.The festival is held every year from April to June.
