Yamagata Prefecture Local Museum Bunshokan

Built in 1916, it consists of two buildings, the former prefectural office building and the council chambers, and is a brick structure based on the British Early Modern Revival style. Designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 1984, conservation and restoration work began in 1986, and the building is now open to the public as the Yamagata Prefectural Museum of History “Bunshokan.
