Zaoshuzo Corporation

Zao Shuzo is a sake brewery founded in 1873. The blessings of the land, such as subsoil water from the Zao Mountain Range and the cold wind from the Zao downwind help create their delicous sake.Today, young brewers are rising to the challenge of making beautiful sake from Zao.In the exhibition hall, you can see displays of old tools and panels explaining the sake brewing process.  Of course, there is the opportunity to taste the sake tasting and sales are available.Some of the sake can only be found here!
Tours of the brewery are also available by appointment where brewery staff will show visitors around (December through February only). See, smell, hear, touch, and taste the products and experience the sake brewing process with all the senses!Should you visit Shiroishi, then stop by this brewery for some of Zao's finest sake.
