A must-see for fans of architecture! A complex cultural facility with a striking building serving as its landmark
sendai mediatheque was designed by world-renowned architect Toyo Ito and is ranked as one of the top 10 buildings of the Heisei era (1989-2019) in Japan. It houses an art gallery and a theater, where exhibition screenings and other events are held. There is also a video and audio library, a library for the blind and visually impaired, and also the Sendai City Library, amassing and offering the latest knowledge and information.
