Akita City Akarenga Red Brick Folk Museum
Gorgeous Western-style architecture from the Meiji era is worth seeing.
The local museum, which utilizes the head office of the former Akita Bank, was constructed in 1912.The exterior is Renaissance style, and the interior is Baroque style.It is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.It houses traditional Akita crafts, a memorial hall for printmaker Tokushi Katsuhira, and a memorial room for living national treasure metal smith Shiro Sekiya.
