Rokkasen Co.,Ltd.

Rokkasen

Produces purely-fermented sake while utilizing the experience and skills of the brewers

In 1972, Yamagata Meijo Co., Ltd. established itself as a communal bottling plant for five sake breweries in the Kitamurayama region of Yamagata Prefecture.

In 1985, Rokkasen Shuzo Cooperation Association was established to handle the comany's brewing division, and in 1992, the company changed its name to the current Rokkasen Co., Ltd.

Like the waka poems written by Rokkasen, an outstanding poet during the Heian period (794–1185), they aim to brew sake that resonates with consumers.

They will continue to challenge the possibilities of sake by brewing several varieties, everything from super dry to sparkling.
