Naso no Shirataki (White Waterfall of Naso)

The dynamically-flowing Shirataki waterfall, a National Place of Scenic Beauty

The dynamic waterfall of Naso no Shirataki is 26 meters tall, 11 meters wide, and boasts an abundant volume of water. It is designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty. You can enjoy viewing the waterfall from four different angles from the basin under the waterfall, the viewing platform, the shrine grounds, and the suspension bridge. The contrast between the colour of the trees and the white spraying water is also a highlight. There is a vivid contrast between green and white in spring and summer, and between the red and yellow foliage and the white water in autumn.

You will have to go through the grounds of Kinpo Shrine to reach the waterfall basin. Because you will have to ascend and descend long stairs, you need to be in good health. If you are not, then it is recommended to view the waterfall from the viewing platform and the suspension bridge.

It takes up to 30 minutes to walk to the Mototaki Fukuryusui Underflow, where water falls gracefully from the moss-covered rocks. How about taking a walk to these waterfalls with plenty of negative ions?
