Tsugaru Railway, the northernmost private railway in Honshu, is a local line that connects Tsugaru-Goshogawara Station and Tsugaru-Nakasato Station, a distance of about 20 km, in about 50 minutes.

During the winter, the stove train is a great way to enjoy the atmosphere of the train with its coal-burning Dharma stove and the snow-covered plains seen from the train windows. If you buy surume (dried squid) on the train, they will roast it on the Dharma stove. Sake is also available for purchase, making this a great place for a moment of socializing.

In other seasons, various event trains, such as the Suzumushi train and the Fu-ring train, are in operation, making the train enjoyable throughout the four seasons.
