Learning the Art of Not Fighting Authenticity Time
After visiting Japan's only iaido shrine dedicated to the founder of iaido, Shigenobu Hayashizaki Jinsuke, you will learn iaido etiquette and the basic form of iaido, "shohatou," from a high rank iaido instructor, and experience "test cutting," a sword cutting technique in which you use a serious sword to cut a tatami mat cylinder. This is a valuable experience that allows participants to experience the techniques handed down from generation to generation and the Japanese sword.
