Submerged forest in Tamagawa (Senboku City, Akita Prefecture)

Tamagawa Dam and Hosenko Lake (Hosenko) and Yoroihata Dam and Shusenko Lake (Shusenko), which stretch along Route 341.

Submerged forests can be seen from May to mid-June when the snow melts.

They appear on the bright lapis lazuli-colored surface of the lake for about a month when the water level is lowered by releasing water from the dam in preparation for the summer flood season.

The mysterious view of the trees can be enjoyed.
