Noshiro City once had a history of being called “the best wooden city in the East,” and the former Ryotei Kaneyu is a former ryotei that symbolizes such a history of Noshiro.  It is an elegant wooden building that makes generous use of "natural Akita cedar," which cannot be cut down these days, and is registered as a national tangible cultural property.

In this old restaurant with an old-fashioned atmosphere, you can enjoy watching Akita geisha and maiko perform, chatting with them, and taking photos. You can also enjoy watching while you dine.
