This nature tour takes place in the upstream area (spanning 2.7 km) of Oirase Gorge, which has been selected as a National Bryophyte Heritage Site in Japan. An expert nature guide will accompany you in a small group to share their knowledge of the gorge’s wonders, touching on topics such as plants, history, and geology. While the course can be walked in one hour, this rambling tour will cover the same distance in three hours to allow you to fully absorb the rich natural environment of the moss and ferns, as well as the giant trees, waterfall, and stream concentrated in this deep, U-jikoku (U-shaped valley). The beautiful gorge has also been designated as a natural treasure of Japan and is a famous spot for photos.
