Seikan Tunnel Museum(Seikan Tunnel Museum)

Visit a mysterious undersea world 140 meters below sea level

Enjoy the entire Seikan Tunnel, the world's longest undersea tunnel, which was first conceptualized in 1946 and took about 42 years to build.

The museum exhibits the story of the tunnel from its conception to completion through sound and images, information panels, and 3D models.

The "Mogura-go" cable car takes you 140 meters below sea level to the "Experience Tunnel," which is a must-see.

The tunnel is located in a corner that was used as a work pit for tunnel construction. The machines and equipment used for excavation are on display, giving visitors a taste of what it was like to work there.

Visitors can also learn how the tunnel was dug and how it was completed through easy explanations on panels and audio.

Inside the facility is seafood restaurant Ajisai, a store full of original Seikan Tunnel Museum goods, and a souvenir corner.

■The exhibition hall displays a variety of technologies and construction methods, including advanced boring technology, injection technology, and sprayed concrete technology.

■The gallery exhibits a variety of materials related to the Seikan Tunnel, including its history, structure, and the equipment that was actually used.

■The Tunnel Theater shows a magnificent drama of the people who passionately dug the tunnel under the sea for many years.

■The cable car ""Mogura-go"" will take you to a world 140 meters below sea level.

■Enjoy a variety of seafood at restaurant Ajisai including sashimi set meals, seafood rice bowls, ramen noodles, and soba noodles.
