Awa manJu
Yanaizu's famous millet dumplings feature the popping texture of millet, the chewy texture of glutinous rice, and a gentle sweetness.
Their origins trace back 180 years, when people offered them to Enzoji Temple with prayers for protection from disasters after a catastrophe struck the town.
Be sure to try comparing the millet dumplings from different shops!
