The Kannon of Love and Peace, certified as a “Lover's Sanctuary”
The Great Kannon stands 48.5 meters tall.
As you view various exhibits and reach the observation deck, the breathtaking scenery of Kamaishi Bay spreads out below.
In early summer, the “yamase” wind blows in from the sea, often creating a fantastical scene like being above the clouds.
It has been certified as a “Lovers' Sanctuary,” a place perfect for proposals.

Access within the Great Kannon involves stairs. Please be aware that there are no elevators or ramps available.
