This brewery was established in 1850.

Built between the Meiji (1868-1912) and Taisho (1912-26) eras, it is designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property.

Even today they only produce sake in limited quantities.

They offer brewery tours every hour, so you can go around the brewery while listening to explanations from the staff (free of charge).

You can learn about the sake production process, the sake rice, and the "Yamahai" traditional brewing method. 

At the store, you can buy limited-edition sake only available here and many seasonal sake, making it the perfect place for souvenirs. 

There is also a coffee shop where you can enjoy coffee brewed with the special water used in sake brewing and desserts with an adult twist that only sake breweries can offer.
