The Michinoku YOSAKOI Festival, which began in 1998, usually features stage performances at Kotodai Park Civic Plaza and seven other venues in Sendai City, as well as a parade performance on Jozenji Street. The festival is held in Sendai in autumn, with Naruko in hand, to the music of folk songs from the Tohoku region.
