Gassan Shizu Onsen
Since ancient times, the Gassan Shizu Onsen has been lined with lodging houses for pilgrims to the three mountains of Dewa, and even today it is crowded with many worshippers.
Located at the foot of “Gassan,” one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan, it is a lodging site for “Gassan summer skiing,” a rarity in Japan, attracting skiers and boarders from home and abroad.
Nearby is a virgin beech forest, where trekking can be enjoyed in all four seasons. The cuisine using seasonal wild vegetables and mushrooms, and the event “Lanterns of the Snow Lodges,” which takes advantage of the heavy snowfall, are also very popular.
The spring water is loved by our guests for its skin-beautifying qualities, which are also gentle to atopic skin.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.
