Sakuranbo Higashine Onsen

There is a footbath exclusively for pets here! A hot spring district that welcomes those accompanied by pets

Sakuranbo Higashine Onsen is a rural hot spring district. You can look out to mountains - Gassan, Hayama and Asahidake - to the west with beautiful rice fields extending out in the surrounding area. This hot spring has a sodium chloride quality. Therefore, you will be unlikely to feel chilly after taking a bath because of its outstanding heat retention effect. Accordingly, it is also called ""Atatamari no Yu (Warm-up Hot Spring).""

Narita Fudoson is enshrined in this district. This is the guardian deity of the hot spring district. The grounds are home to a chozuya (place for ritual cleansing) with water gushing forth from a hot spring. This is rare for Japan. If you purify your hands in the hot spring and worship here, your prayers will surely come true. The Pocket Park Ashiyu (Footbath) and Sengen no Mori Park located next to Narita Fudoson are also spots you mustn't miss when exploring the hot springs. The park is also replete with a footbath for pets. There are many inns where you can stay with your pets here. Accordingly, why don't you take a trip together with your pets to enjoy the hot springs?

In addition, as the name suggests, Higashine is a cherry (sakuranbo) town. More cherries are produced here than anywhere else in Japan. It is the birthplace of Sato Nishiki - a high-grade variety of cherry. The best season for cherries grown in greenhouses is from around late April while the best season for cherries grown outdoors is from around June to early July. You can enjoy picking these cherries. Please eat Sato Nishiki cherries with their excellent balance of sweetness and sourness in Higashine - the birthplace for these cherries - until your stomach is full. There are also orchards that welcome those accompanied by pets.
