The dancers, led by the gorgeously decorated floats, overflowed into the midsummer night with the sound of the dancers' brave shouts of "Yassho, Makasho! and hanagasa taiko drums echo through the midsummer night, while more than 10,000 dancers in gorgeous costumes dance dynamically to the accompaniment of "Hanagasa Ondo," and waves of hats decorated with safflowers, Yamagata's flower, undulate and dance in a group.
